George Andah as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.
The Group Chief Operating Officer of Globacom Limited, Mr. Mohamed Jameel presented Mr. Andah to the media at a press conference in Accra.
Mr. Jameel said Andah's appointment came at a period the telecommunications company has concluded plans to launch its operations before the end of the year.
Mr. Jameel assured the media and the generality of Ghanaians that Glo Mobile Ghana will launch the most robust telecommunications network in Ghana with the most advanced voice, data and gateway services at the most competitive prices.
He said Mr. Andah joined Glo Mobile Ghana with a proven pedigree as an outstanding marketer and excellent administrator.
In his remarks, the new COO expressed his profound gratitude to the Chairman of Globacom Limited, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr. for finding him worthy to be recruited to join the galaxy of world class stars and first class brains working in Globacom as the COO, at the time the company is about to roll out its robust network.
'This is a moment of pride not only for me, but for every Ghanaian professional. I will contribute my utmost towards making this brand, which has already been declared one of the most valuable brands in Africa even greater, particularly in Ghana', he said.
Mr. Andah has had a distinguished career at different levels and various capacities in the telecommunications industry within and outside Ghana.
Glo Mobile Ghana Limited was licenced to provide voice, data and gateway services in Ghana. The company has generated goodwill in Ghana with its support for major activities that connect with the touch-points of Ghanaians. It is the sponsor of the Ghana Premier League and the Ghanaian national teams.
