The forecourt of Jamestown Mantse's Palace has been converted into a soccer village as part of the initiative of Happy Fm, Ghana's number one sports station in collaboration with e.tv Ghana and MEGASCREEN Ghana limited.

The people of Jamestown and hundreds of soccer enthusiasts' troop to the soccer village daily to enjoy the matches, as well as live commentary from Happy Fm. They also get the chance to make comments on e.TV's Fans Zone. There are also side attractions like music and jamma sessions as the crowd cheer their favourite teams on.

One spectator John Ohemeng, expressed delight at the creation of the Soccer Village. “We are grateful to Happy Fm and partners for this opportunity to watch the AFCON matches and enjoy objective analysis and to air our views. This is the very first of its kind in the country, and I hope it continues for other tournaments as well”.

Station Manager Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, General Manager of Happy Fm stated “We are showing our appreciation to our loyal listeners and delivering on our promise to bring the very best of coverage of AFCON 2012 to Ghanaians. Our sister- platforms, ETV and MEGASCREEN have come on board to make this experience bigger and better.
