Last Tuesday was Valentine’s Day and to show love by giving back to society, Happy FM gave 30 couples the opportunity to walk down the aisle.
The annual event dubbed Happy FM Mass Wedding which is in its seventh year was hosted at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra.
The ceremony which was overseen by the Apostle General of the Royal House Chapel attracted hundreds of people who had come to support their loved ones.
The beautiful brides and handsome grooms who were accompanied by well wishers looked excited as they’ve been waiting for such a day.
In an interview with some of them, they revealed how happy they were getting married on a Valentines’ Day.
According to the General Manger of Happy FM, Charles Osei Asibey, It is a small way the station can help couples who wish to marry but do not have the means to go through a wedding ceremony.
He added that” Happy FM is proud to be part of such a special moment in people’s lives as they commit to each other and advised the general public, especially the youth to be part of subsequent editions for a life changing experience.”
He said prior to the wedding ceremony, the couples went through counseling sessions, they were treated to spa dates, cooking lessons and movie screenings to help inculcate the habit of enjoying each other’s company and learning about fun things they can do together.
The couples will be treated to a honeymoon package.
The event was laced with music perfomances from gospel artistes Gifty Osei, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Piesie Esther and Ohemaa Mercy. Of course, patrons couldn’t resist but dance along with them.
