Mike Hammah calls on Ghanaians to pray for peaceful elections in 2012.

Winneb (C/R), Dec 8, GNA – The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Mike Hammah has called on all Ghanaians God to intensify their prayers for peaceful elections in 2012.

Mr Hammah wo is also the Member of Parliament for Effutu made the call in a message delivered on his behalf by the Very Reverend Eldad Bonney, Presiding Member of Effutu Municipal Assembly at the inauguration and dedication ceremony of a GH30,000.00

The programme was under the theme: “my house will be called a house of prayer for nations”.

The Minister said the nation could achieve its goals if Ghanaians would ask and allow God to touch their tongue, heart and take the lead in all that they do.

Mr Hammah said government's objective of building a Better Ghana for this generation and that to come cannot be achieved without the spiritual help by Christians, Muslims and all people who believes in God.

He therefore emphasised the need as people to invite God to take control of all our activities and said with him all things are possible.

In a sermon, Very Rev Eldad Bonney urged the Church to witness the nature of God, share the mission of God and let all their dealings reflect the likeness of God to attain salvation.

He said without God's empowerment the Church cannot fulfil its mission, adding that God accepts men irrespective of their tribes colour or political affiliations who fears, believe in him and do what is right.

Rev Bonney asked Ghanaians to depend on God the Almighty to supply us with all our needs through prayer and fasting rather than human beings.

Later Right Reverend Moses Archer, National President of the Church who commissioned building advised members of the Church to look beautiful in their hearts since they are the temple of the Lord as the new building looks, adding that aside this, God would not forgive those who misuses the his temple.

The Reverend Francis Blay Andoh, Minister in charge of the Winneba branch of the Church said the Church was established three years ago and now has membership of 150, adding that the building was constructed through the members' contributions and other donations from philanthropist.

He therefore expressed his appreciation to all who contributed in various ways towards the construction of the building.

The Reverend Ackah Cobbina Vice President of the Church and also Nzema Municipal Assembly Chief Executive, who chaired function, advised the management of the Church to periodically see to the maintenance of the building in other to prolong its life span.
