Responding to a question about the flag bearer's infamous “All die be die” statement, Mr. Agyarko told the news conference that suggestions that the NPP is a violent party are false.

The statement he noted was meant for party supporters and sympathisers to be very vigilant before, during and after the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections, and not to instigate violence as suggested by a cross section of the general public.

He made the statement at a news conference called to announce the party's first ever national interdenominational prayer session.

The national interdenominational prayer service comes off at the Essipong stadium in Sekondi and is expected to attract thousands of party loyalists and faithful.

NPP flag bearer, Nana Akuffo Addo and Former President, John Agyekum Kufuor, will both read special messages on peace, while party chairman Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and Minority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu are expected to participate in the bible reading session.
