The Association further called on all members to be resolute and remain committed to duty while it worked to resolve members concerns.
This was contained in a statement in Accra signed by Mrs Alice Darkoa Asare, President of the Association, and copied to the Ghana News Agency.
The statement said at an emergency National Council meeting convened in Kumasi on 10th October, 2011, to brief members on the developments on the migration of Nurses and Midwives onto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), members acknowledged the progress made so far to theentire process.
In anticipation of the prompt implementation of the SSSS, members pledged to uphold the principles undergirding the labour policy and the commitment of nurses and midwives to duty,'' the statement said.
To this end, it was resolved that the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) should endeavour to migrate nurses and midwives by October ending of 2011.
The statement asked the FWSC appellate body to be prepared to meet with the GRNA on or before November 15, 2011 to resolve the concerns raised at Dodowa.
The statement reiterated that no group from the membership had embarked on any strike action and disassociated the association from any such act whether in force or intended.
