Kuntanase (Ash) March 7, GNA-A little over 500 children from 13 schools in the Bosomtwe District took part in a parade at Kuntanase to commemorate the nation's 53rd Independence Day anniversary celebration.

Five hundred residents of Tuobodom in the Brong Ahafo Region have been displaced as a result of the clashes that claimed three lives in the town.
Members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) who visited the area to assess the situation on the ground also discovered that apart from the internally displaced persons, most able-bodied men, women and children had fled the town for fear of further reprisals.

A Protracted chieftaincy dispute at Tuobodom in the Brong Ahafo Region turned rather bloody last Friday night when three persons were shot dead, with four others, including a policeman, critically wounded in a shoot-out.
In the wake of the disturbances, a contingent of 60 policemen and military men was deployed to the town to maintain law and order.

Zaare (U/E), March 6, GNA - Management of Aqua Vitens Rand Limited (AVRL) has provided the Avutubisi community in Zaare near Bolgatanga with a mechanised water facility valued at about 43,400 Ghana cedis.
